The
Northeast Regional Puerto Rico Tournament
In 1493
Christopher Columbus discovered the eastern-most island of the Great
Antilles.
In
2004, 511 years later Wild Gazebo Productions hosts the 1st
Northeast Regional Puerto Rico Tournament! Which roles will you play
in this new world: Prospector? Governor? Settler? Trader? Whatever
you do, you have one goal: to achieve the greatest prosperity and
highest reputation! Who will have the most fruitful plantation? Who
will build the most impressive buildings?, who will earn the most
victory points?, and who will be the Regional Champion!
Will
you own the most prosperous plantations? Will you build the most
valuable buildings? You have but one goal: achieve the greatest
prosperity and highest respect!
5
Preliminary Rounds (held Friday 8PM, Friday 10PM, Saturday 9AM, Saturday 11AM,
and Saturday 2PM) will determine who advances to the second and
third rounds. The first place finisher at each table in the
preliminary rounds advances to the second round.
You may
sign up for more than one preliminary round, but you may only
advance once.
The
second round will be held Saturday at 8PM, and the third and final
round, determining the overall Puerto Rico champ, will occur on
Sunday at 11AM.
All
preliminary rounds will use standard Puerto Rico rules, however, the
final round will use the expansion set.

Munckinpalooza
II
(The
Northeast Regional Munchkin Tournament)
You
thought it was safe to go back into the dungeon. You were wrong, and
now you're surrounded by more munchkins than you can shake a pointy
stick at effectively. All you can do now is join them.
Wild
Gazebo Productions and MEPACon are proud to present Munchkinpalooza
II, a full-year tournament spanning 4 cons. Are you
munchkin enough?
The
details: At each convention*, there will be 3 qualifying Munchkin
games, one of each genre**. Points will be given to the top players
from each game using a complex system involving Levels, Bonuses,
Gold and player cuteness***. The top 6 players will play in a finale
battle royale at Lollagazebo, competing for valuable prizes and the
coveted title of Northeast Regional Munchkin Champion, which
includes lifetime in-game benefits to the winner. Get in the games,
get your points, and maybe everyone will learn that you are the
biggest munchkin of them all.
Tournament
Games:

Hack! The
Nerding
Come join NerdNYC as they send B.A.,
Knuckles, El Ravager, Thorina, and Teflon Billy into the Tomb of
Vectra to compete for the ultimate prize.
Hack!: The Nerding is the east coast’s
definitive (there’s a big word) Hack tournament. Try and find
another, we dare you! Run in 3 death defying, blood curdling, mega
carnage rounds we will explore what in means to become the
Mega-Nerd. Rounds one (Saturday, 2pm) and two (Saturday, 8pm) will determine who will take the
position of the 5 Knights and a final 3rd round (Sunday, 11am) will determine who
rules the Dinner Table.
Players in Hack! Take on the fantasy
personas of characters from KoDT, including the GameMaster.
Players explore a dungeon, encountering monsters, traps, NPCs, and
even new and twisted rules. Players build the dungeon as they go,
using cards from their hand. Since the dungeon is different each
time they play, each game is unique!

The $100 Xactika Tournament
Xactika is an original card game, which
challenges players' ability to estimate the outcome of playing 8
cards. You must predict the chances of being able to take the
other players' cards that are laid down during each round. There
is no drawing or discarding. You must predict exactly (hence the
name Xactika) the number of rounds in which you will be able to
take the cards played.
Spread throughout 2 preliminary rounds (Friday,
8pm and Saturday, 6pm) and
a climatic final (Sunday, 2pm), one lucky player will be mailed a $100.00
savings bond, courtesy of Set enterprises. Come by and play the game that
has been the card game rage at the local cons and earn a chance to
win a great prize. |
